New Post: MSI for Changeset 16466?

I see there's a new changeset! Awesome. It appears to have the feature I've been craving, which is the display of code-behind files. Also awesome. But I downloaded the source, and VS (2005) tells me the solution was created with a newer version of VS. I don't recall having this problem before, so I guess that's different. I don't have VS 2008 installed (yet), so it would be difficult for me to get this source compiled.

Is there any chance you could post a new "Release" or make a compiled MSI available?

i made the small neccessary changes, and can provide you with a VS2008 compatible release and its modified sourcecode. I am trying to upload the changes and the new release if the site owner allows it. If that shouldn't work out and you need the updated version, dont hesitate to drop me a line.

I have source control tool (Visual source safe). So in usually solution explorer, it is shown different icons on file if project under source control, in Flat Soution Explorer same files show like not under source control. I mean some additional icons, like "blue lock".

I did the work to support some simple wildcarding, but we haven't pushed out a build since then. If you do a local build you already have what you're looking for. I'll try to find some time to do some work here soon.

It appears that when I type in foo, it only shows files that start with foo or are below a directory named foo.

It also appears that regular expressions are not supported.

It would be useful to be able to find files that contain the text foo but don't necessarily start with foo. There are times when I know that the file name contains foo but don't know if foo is at the beginning of the file name or in the middle.

It would also be useful if regular expressions (or globbing) was supported. Then I could type *View.cs and see all my view code.

The good news is that I've moved to a team that does c# and the lack of this is really bugging me. It'll get there, it's just a question of when (we're expecting a new baby soon, busy times).

In the off chance that this extremely helpful tool gets an update, I'd like to suggest that code-behind files should be displayed in the list of files.

For example, and this might only apply to web projects, if I have an .aspx page called index.aspx, with a code-behind file of index.aspx.cs, the latter file does not appear at all in the Flat Solution Explorer. I would very much like it to, since I often like to avoid opening the aspx file first, because Visual Studio isn't terribly fast at opening those files.
